The formation and operation of the Committee structure in the Chamber is extremely important for the following reasons:
 | Enables the Chamber to focus its efforts on areas or sectors which can most benefit Members and the community; |
| Provides focused groupings through which Members can best input their efforts and talents to support their primary area of interest; |
| Facilitates information gathering and sharing; and |
| Provides a forum for Members to network and meet others with common interests. |
Members are invited to join and contribute to Committees and, as the Chamber grows, to make suggestions for other Committee formations which will contribute to the achievement of our mutual objectives.
The Committees on start-up of the Chamber are to be as set out below.
Culture and Entertainment Committee
This Committee can play a very proactive role given the major focus of Macao to establish itself as a world recognized gaming, convention and cultural centre.
Business Policies and Finance Committee
As Macao goes through rapid growth cycles in the coming years, there will be many areas where the Chamber can contribute to government and the community as the pre-eminent ´voice of business´.
Education Committee
Education is one of the major community infrastructure requirements that is critical to the future success of Macao. This Committee can be active in communicating the business needs for future graduates and bringing to the government´s attention issues facing pre-university and tertiary students.
China Business Development Committee
The success of Macao now and in the future is reliant on its relations and trade with China. Nowhere can ´the voice of business´ be more important in the future in helping to assure that opportunities from these relationships are optimized.
