Our Chamber
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Macao (the “Chamber” or “CCCM”) is a proactive, non-government body representing members with business interests in or with Macao, Canada, Hong Kong and Mainland China.
The Chamber was set up as a corporate legal entity officially on September 7, 2004 and efforts to activate operations were initiated in early 2005.
Through its Members, the Chamber will make a valuable contribution to the Macao community as it grows in international stature in the coming years.
Sister Chamber
CCCM has had assistance, support and guidance in its start-up efforts from the Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (“CCCHK”).
In the future, it is anticipated that CCCM and CCCHK will continue to work closely together as ‘sister’ chambers. This is consistent with the expected closer relationships between the two SAR’s in future being driven by tourism (through gaming, conventions, Disneyland, etc) and the importance of their combined roles in the overall expansion of the Pearl River Delta.
Our
Club Members
The International Club has been set up in recognition of the fact that there are many persons who wish to establish social contacts and/or network without a pure business development focus. It is believed to be mutually beneficial to operate such social operations under the umbrella of the Chamber rather than have a separate "club" entity created.
Our Purpose
Our primary purpose as a Chamber is to best promote the interests of our members and convey their views to decision-makers in industry and in government. Accordingly, our efforts are directed at maintaining and continually improving a working environment that fosters commerce, facilitates learning and better enables members to exchange ideas and express their concerns.
Our Pledge
Our Chamber is a Members-driven organization. Our pledge is to work tirelessly to facilitate trade for, and between, our Members, to provide a platform from which Members can address policy-makers and to add real value to membership through our program of publications, seminars, events, functions, missions, preferential purchasing arrangements and social networking.
